Chena Lakes: Spring Picnic...

Interior Alaskan's will jump at the first sign of spring, and the Aurora Borealis Rotaract is no exception.

In early March, we gathered with Rotary Exchange Students, friends and families at Chena Lakes Recreation Park in North Pole to enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. With a bit of patriotism we created some good old-fashion American fun. We munched on hotdogs, hamburgers, and potato chips; Our activities included frizbee and football.

The sun was brilliant, as we watched dog mushers race across the lake.

Despite a chilly breeze and a tray of mellon that froze after sitting on the picnic table for 15 minutes, we had a great time.
