President Julia Gray Welcome to the Aurora Borealis Rotaract Club's Website!

Not only does 2004-2005 mark the Centennial Year for Rotary International, our parent community service organization, this year also marks the third anniversary of our club

We hope you will discover for yourself as you view these pages what we have come to know: we have plenty of reasons to celebrate. In fact, "Celebrate Rotary" is the motto of the Centennial Year of Rotary International. President Julia GrayWithin the last year our club has:

  • expanded its scope of projects ranging from helping at a Yukon Quest dogsledding race checkpoint to performing demolition work with Love, INC to developing an extensive training program for professional development, public relations, and project management for Rotaractors at our District Conference
  • hosted a Russian Rotaractor and visited the Matinuska-Susitna Rotaractors
  • sent our first ever club member to Russia to represent the Aurora Borealis Rotaract Club at the Rotary Youth Leadership Forum in Barnaul, Russia
  • won our first Presidential Citation award, District Conference Club Attendance award, and Project Display People's Choice award
  • and much more!
  • The Aurora Borealis Rotaract Club strives to offer a variety of community service projects and social events. Club meetings continue in that tradition. You are as likely to learn from guest speakers about local organic farming as you are to learn about international service projects half a world away. Rotaract is an excellent opportunity to better understand your community and world from the perspective of a participant and not a spectator.

Thanks for your interest and hope to see you at one of our meetings!

    Yours in service,

    Julia Gray
    President, 2004-2005
